From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, diverse sites will open their doors, offering guided tours and interactive experiences. This year's lineup features a compelling mix of community hubs, artistic spaces, historical landmarks, and even glimpses into the world of research and industry. - 10C Shared Space (42 Carden St): This one is super easy! It's just a short walk from Guelph Central Station. Numerous bus routes converge here.
- Guelph Armoury (7 Wyndham St S): A convenient short walk from Guelph Central Station
- Art Not Shame (119 Wyndham St N): Two options: From Guelph Central Station, Platform 5, take Route 13 Northbound to Wyndham at Quebec (Stop ID: 5830) or from Platform 19, take Route 10 to Quebec at Wyndham westbound (Stop ID: 1001). A short five-minute walk from either stop.
- Guelph Youth Music Centre, Goldie Mill Ruins (75 Cardigan St) & Norwich Bridge: Reach this historic site from Platform 18, Route 99 Northbound to Woolwich/London (Stop ID: 254), or Route 3 (Platform 21) Northbound to Woolwich/Cardigan (Stop ID: 302). Both stops are within a three to five-minute walk
- Wellington County Administration Centre and Law Library (74 Woolwich St): Conveniently accessible by multiple Routes 3, 12, or 20 to the Woolwich at Heffernan Northbound stop (Stop ID: 6063), a two-minute walk away.
- Islamic Society of Guelph (126 Norwich St E): Take Route 12 Guelph General Eastbound to Eramosa/Arthur (Stop ID: 1302). A five-minute walk from the stop
- Junction Village Community Land Trust (45, 46, 47 Meadowview Ave): Use Route 9 Waterloo Westbound to Waterloo/Edinburgh (Stop ID: 904), followed by a short two-minute walk
- RWDI (600 Southgate Dr): To reach this location, take 99 Mainline South and transfer at Clair/Gosling (Stop ID: 6058) onto Route 16 Southbound to the bus stop at 595 Southgate (Stop ID: 1626).
- Trails Open: Trestle Rail Bridge to Ontario Reformatory and Guelph Outdoor School (meet at 733 Stone Rd E): Take 99 Mainline South to University Centre and transfer to Route 5 Goodwin (Stop ID: 359). Please note this involves an approximately 18-minute walk with limited sidewalks.
Don't forget the pre-event fun! Prepare for Doors Open with Doors Open After Dark on Friday, April 25th. From 5:00 PM to midnight, the Guelph Civic Museum will offer free admission, performances, interactive experiences, and more.
